Obwohl er seine Lebensleidenschaft – Schiffe und Meer – bereits in seiner Kindheit kennengelernt hatte (damals fiel ihm in die H\u00e4nde das Buch von Ren\u00e9 Gr\u00e9gr – Die Herrscher der Ozeane – Vl\u00e1dcov\u00e9 oce\u00e1n\u016f), lange Jahre verz\u00e4rtelte er es nur, und kehrte erst viele Jahre k\u00fcnstlerisch dazu zur\u00fcck.<\/p>\n

In seinem Atelier entstehen Leinw\u00e4nde, in denen Schiffe oder das Meer selbst eine wichtige Rolle spielen. Es arbeitet an seinem Lieblingsthema nicht nur in den Geschichten bestimmter Schiffe, sondern auch in vielen Variationen traumhafter Landschaften. Oft findet man das Meer in seinen Gem\u00e4lden nur in Andeutungen.<\/p>\n

Das Hauptthema seiner Arbeit bleibt immer noch die Zeit, als damals auch unbekannte Meere mutige Matrosen auf Segelbooten durchkreuzten. Der Umfang der verarbeiteten Themen ist jedoch viel breiter, reicht von den ber\u00fchmten Zeiten von Christoph Kolumbus bis zum fr\u00fchen zwanzigsten Jahrhundert, als die Kraft der Dampfmaschine definitiv \u00fcber dem Wind herrschte. Nicht weniger wichtige Liebe, und sie hat auch mit dem Meer zu tun, ist jetzt eine halb vergessene Geschichte der \u00f6sterreichisch-ungarischen Marine, die systematisch in seinen Gem\u00e4lden abgebildet wird.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=“1\/3″][vc_column_text]\n

Er arbeitet mit der klassischen Technik der \u00d6lmalerei. Er legt gro\u00dfen Wert darauf, dass die Schiffe in seinen Gem\u00e4lden nicht nur gef\u00e4llige Staffage sind – auch die Treue der abgebildeten Schiffe ist ihm sehr wichtig. Gleichzeitig versucht er, sie in eine typische Umgebung zu bringen.<\/p>\n

Zuletzt pr\u00e4sentierte er seine Bilder bei einer Einzelausstellung im Transportmuseum in Bratislava im Jahr 2015, wo sie ganz nat\u00fcrlich unter die ausgestellten Exponate hineinpassten. Im Laufe der Jahre haben seine Gem\u00e4lde nicht nur in Europa, sondern auch im \u00dcbersee den Weg in private Sammlungen gefunden.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=“1\/3″]
